As I stand before you I do not care, whatever lies they have told can hurt me no longer. The gossip that they spew, the rhetoric from their barbed tongues is only proof of their ignorance. The fact that it’s the both of that believe is enough for me to endure their harsh judgment. As they spit their fiery blend of toxic views from the bottom of their lungs, we can hang on to what makes us the people we always wanted to be. Our standards may be centuries old the ideology though rare and out dated is more than sound. Handed down from father to son, mother to daughter can only lead me to believe in it with my heart and soul. We are exactly the people we have chosen to be letting no one come between us and our vision of the truth. Murky at best are the waters of cynicism as they test our resolve. For we have the knowledge of our forefathers and their doctrine to carry the day. Badly bruised and beaten we lift our heads in the joy of true love and the powers that it brings. Never to be shaken always firmly grounded in the fact love can cure your every ill. It is a humble and sobering feeling to walk hand in hand in front of all who judged and be justified in our actions. Love will conquer all and leave us to revel in the feeling of oneness that is us.

You chose a prose poem format but for me, this really should be broken more conventionally. Some excellent lines that would emphasize what you're saying, are lost in the clutter on the page and that's a detriment to your poem. It's just a thought on an already quite good work that I feel would strengthen the piece. Thanks for sharing.
