Blue teardrops are fall’in,
My heart to yours call’in.
We know this can never be,
To be together, we’ll never see.

You have her, I have him,
Our future is very dim.
Love doomed from the start,
Both know this, tell our heart.

Deep breaths, we are crying,
Both feel our souls dieing.
Sob and mourn, hearts aching,
This knowledge, hearts breaking.

A day at a time, we’re walking,
Can’t break off, keep talking.
Can’t understand the attraction,
Our love causes a distraction.

We must put some distance,
Friendship handles the circumstance.
