Click hereThis poem is set to the Don McLean song
Vincent (starry starry night)
Starry starry night,
paint your name across the sky,
colours taken from your eye,
for you ignite a fire within my soul
Whispers on the wind,
voices heard within your dream
they slip behind your eyes of green
join image that caress your sleeping mind.
Drifting through a cloud
visions of a paradise
rainbow angels carved in ice
they wing me slowly to your astral plane
And now I understand
why your love has set me free,
cut the pain to drift from memory
now in your heart I’ll ever be.
Feel our love that bloom, feel it ever grow,
because, I love you so
Starry starry night,
emerald in diamond eye
shame the moon and make him cry
a silver dream in colours set serene
Sailing on a dream,
pastel shades within my heart
spectral love to never part
the canvas of our love be evermore
And now I understand
why your love has set me free,
cut the pain to drift from memory
now in your heart I’ll ever be.
Feel our love that bloom, feel it ever grow,
because, I love you so.
