“Steel”
Jack Green

Once again I find you,
Again your eyes, they turn away
Out in the cold, I start to burn today
My hands caress Steel and I start to warm again
Now this is no time for sin.

Like a dog behind you,
Feeding on your disgust
Tasting it regretfully
I am the dog that you can trust
Hands fondle steel and bring it into the light
Now I am king of the night.

Like a slave in bondage, I know
Feeling it pierce you so slow
Waiting for breathing to subside
 Trading my love for you

Now I can feel you
As your eyes they fall away
No understanding, you start to fade away
Hands twist the steel and steel brings you to the night
Suffer for I am inside

Like a slave in bondage, I know
Feeling it pierce you so slow
Waiting for breathing to subside
 Trading my love for you

Now I can leave you
Scratched with your bloody hands
Out in the cold, I’m leaving you to the wind
Steel will grow rusty but memories still remain
Screaming your final refrain

Like a slave in bondage, I know
Feeling it pierce you so slow
Waiting for breathing to subside
Trading my love for your life
