driving like flying down this road
yellow dots blurring into lines
sounds and winds so fast against my face
with no where to go...just driving
ever forward

and still i drive
still i drive

no where to turn off
no where to rest from the mind numbing
emptiness
that driving brings
the music plays on
my only company

and still i drive
still i drive

and its seems to me my speed
increases the wind coming faster in the window
and then the rain begins
tiny drops hit my face
soon i cannot
tell the difference between
the rain and my tears

and still i drive
still i drive

this road is long before me
reaching further than i can see
i do not know where it leads
i do not see anything but this road this line of black
into infinity

and still i drive
still i drive

and as i drive my mind
escapes...flies out the window
into the rain
and floats and spins in the dark sky dancing with stars imagining
a road
with a purpose a road with a place at the end
somewhere to rest when the driving is done

and still i drive
still i drive.
