I sing like the birds in the morning

in the dawn.

Float like a leaf

I land softly to the ground.

With all the cold days past me by.

I crumble

dry and fragile to the touch.

Sweep me wind, let me dance once more.

Before the winters chill covers me.

I find a spot,,, as it piles upon me.

Heavy with the weight like a millon tons.

I turn brown,

Then black,

And melt against dead grass.

Molted with,

And into the earth I become one with it.

Waiting for the seasons to change.

And when Spring has Sprong

I am molt,

I am earth

Dark with the soil that surrounds me.

Fresh seeds have been planted

Snow melts

They begin to bud

I am fertilzer for them now

My troubles have become their food

To make them stronger

For I am still useful

I am still needed,

"Still needed"...

New surrounding and all

And I will stay till the day

I will dry, and the wind will come

and again blow me away

But until then, I will be

part of this world

this earth

and rest for your feet

build a house upon me,

plant a garden,

or a tree

So that some day

Another, will sing like the birds in the morning

in the dawn

float like a leaf

And land sofly to the ground

And with all the cold days that passes by

I will sing, "You are needed",

"Still needed"
