I didn’t know you
but I thought you were cute.
You asked me to dance and
held me closer than you should.
As we waltzed my body hummed.
Your subtle, but deliberate, bump
against my hips
was like kicking a fire ant nest.
I wanted to swarm all over you
and bite your skin
and leave red marks everywhere I’d been
and make you want to scratch that itch
for days to come.
