There's a cupboard in my closet
it only has one key
I hear a heartbeat I don't know
someone I can not see

He walks into my house
Comes right through the front door
He pauses, listening
I hear him breathe, nothing more

Slowly he approaches
I go on about my way
He speaks as if I hear him
I have nothing left to say

The heartbeat is getting louder
An odd thing I should have known
The closet opens, light floods in
revealing things never shown

There's a cupboard in my closet
it only has one key
And as he picks open the cupboard
he only finds... me
