Standing in the rubble
That is left in the wake of you.
I cannot bring myself to move
For if I do then everything changes
I have to rebuild all that I knew

Trust crumbles so easy
You promised me the world
Then took it away, with one word
If I couldn’t trust you, then who?
Where does that leave me?

It leaves me with the mask of calm
While the tempest rages underneath
Threatening to over take me

How do I calm the storm?
One breath at a time
One step at a time
As I move away from you
Leaving you standing in the void
That I once filled.
