Rain patters gently on the window
It's the rhythm of my fluttering heart

Windy gusts increase their tempo
Like the air rapidly escaping my lungs

Lightning flashes, illuminating the night
Invisible sparks between skin and skin

Thunder makes the chandelier dance
My body trembles from his tender touch

Branches fiercely claw at us from outside
Red marks linger after I pull him close

The storm rages on
As does our passion

Excellent work! I love the last line "the storm rages on as does our passion"
