Hold on just a second. Just wait.
Just making sure I've got this straight.
Poetry readers let their fingers walk
more than they let the stars talk
thus granting poetry more freight?

And I've been wrestling with prose
to learn what story writers know
when it's so much easier
to think in specific meter
and find words that rhyme for show?

(*Author's Note; The above was my tongue in cheek response to a posting in the "Author's Hangout" Forum contrasting the number of comments on Poetry versus Stories.*)
