Living life day to day in such a way
As to not allow boredom to corrode and decay
Each moment an adventure not a humdrum existence
Something worth fighting for
Not giving up on at a moment's notice.
Women and men and places and things
Surprises around every corner
Gold, jewelry, and diamond rings
The bills paid, the kids fed
Everyone getting along
And then you put the put the book down
To see that things arent that way
That there is calamity in the concrete jungle
In the boondocks
In the slums
That the princess' problems
And the guy with the money are one and the same
But taking some of the fascination from pages
and transferring it to your modern life
makes storytime everyday

Honest

Life is quite often like that of stories. An honest and quite poignant poem
