You've been hangin on my every thought,
You must have a leash on my mind...
because every single time I try to start the day,
you're there etched out in time...
Just like it used to be, just like it was
when you were mine to hold.
Now you're not here, why must it be this way...
so far gone, so so so cold.
It's been three winters since I broke your heart
and left you without a man...
It's because i wasn't true to my word,
because simply I ran.
It was for me to see other people
and explore other options.
Since that fatefull September day,
I've thought different concoctions.
I was afraid of totally commiting
in marriage and I'm lame.
If it's not too late,
I would like to take the blame...
the blame for not being
the man i always wanted to be,
the man who will stay with you
because you'll stay with me.
I'm totally committed now
and if it's not too much bother,
I would like to be the one
your babies call father.
I love you
forever and for always...
