Eyes of a stranger, lo and behold,
truth about the future, lies you often told
temptation has set in, no decision to change
feelings often felt, but this time so strange

hand of forgiveness, touch so tender, yet gloved
under lines of never spoken words - be loved
feelings of guilt and pain - torment and conquest
under the river it flows freely, do invest.

throughout the pain and torment there appears - glee
a bird newly on the wings of the wind - wild yet free
things that should be said, that should have been done
motives and reasons not so clear in the mid-day setting sun

many ways, laughter attempts to recover
never to return to that side or the other
silence and humility soon set in - now
return to the past, the present or the future - how?

screams of questionable statements run through my mind
open doors now start to close - mirror image becomes blind
decisions still pending, action or wonder
old feelings of anger, laughter submerged under

with the wind against the wind
private thoughts and angry thoughts to send
eyes of a lover, lo and behold
truth about our future - truth please be told.

honesty

Whether lost in private thought ~ or angry thoughts - be honest with me.

~~

From pain of the past, lessons learned;

With future lovers, truth must be told and observed.
