STRANGERS

Strangers-
through tender sighs,
through innocent, uncertain eyes.
We speak,
silence is all,
numb and searching we wait
for the call.

Strangers-
Not a strange place to begin,
but the last place we should end.

Strangers still-
each knowing the hollow sound
of love lost and found

Strangers-
The word melting through our brains,
each living in his own prison chains.

Strangers-
Just for today,
just until the hurt goes away.
