Dear sun
I am a flower
A rose of deep red
I represent passion
and love and the bed
I am fed by the rain
and i grow in the earth
but sun its by you
by which i judge my worth
please my dear sun
send your heat down on me
let my petals open
ever so softly
let me tilt my head up
on the top of my stem
to gaze at your glory
a dominant gem
in my sky as each day
i try my best to please
by giving my all
to the birds and the bees
I follow your face
as it moves through my life
submitting to sleep
when you've gone for the night
submitting to clouds
when you decide it is so
submitting to that
which I know that you know
makes my bloom that much stronger
much better
much longer
to serve feeds my hunger
to sway and to linger
in your hot intense gaze
I open to you
to show you my heart
that is only for you
for you always know best
but of course you're the sun
and i do what I'm told
without you there is none
you make life worth living
to serve you each day
giving up my blooms
in each and every way
wafting my scent
in this valley you own
but of course you own it
and its not alone
you own me my sun
and I will never stray
from the one in my life
that fills all my days
So take me I'm yours
to keep and to own
my dominant sun
and your submissive rose

With a smile

as I read

no other words

could have possibly been said.

I think what you have wrote is truly beautiful and your heart is clearly visible on this effort.

fanciful

While reading this poem, I was taken away by the fanciful arrangement of words that describe her level of devotion and affection. An instant classic.
