i breathe through you
every step i take is to get closer
to a truth i cannot deny
each need i choose to feed is
another thing to prioritize
habits they grow weary
among my eternal mind
sheep are being herded
into dark rivers of time
every day temptation takes me
to the edge of a roiling black
each time i break from the bank
my soul it never looks back
why then do i hesitate
from the times offered to me
it's as if true meaning
is hidden beyond all subtlety
all i know is that i need you
