Suicidal Episode
Floating above late at night...
So quiet the world is asleep,
Except for one little light...the only one in sight,
Maybe we should go...and take a peek.

We stare at the girl alone in her room,
A revolver sits on the ground at her feet,
Beside her a mirror foretelling her doom.
Nicole the girl looks tired and beat.

The picture shimmers things have changed.
A new girl Angel sits on the bed.
I gasp to myself this is quite strange,
Angel moves over to sit in front of the red head.

I move in quiet to hear what they are saying.
"My dear Nicole, what is wrong?"
The girl is crying, her sorrow on my heart is weighing.
She chokes on her words the pain is too strong.

Nicole breathes slowly calming herself.
"My dad beat me and I donno why,"
I looked closer and saw damage in the form of welts.
This was all she could say before she began to cry.

"My mother does drugs and puts me down,
No money for food she has to have her coke.
My dad always has to have that extra round.
I thought I was special...that's just a joke"

Angel sat silent slowly nodding,
"You could end it all with this weapon of destruction.
This is the end for which you have been lusting.
This is your only option."

Angel picked up the gun and pulled the hammer back,
"Quick and simple the end will be"
Nicole had lost her body went slack.
This demon was pushing her to a higher degree.

Nicole took the gun and held it to her head.
Angel smiled happily her job had been done.
I watched Angel go back with a feeling of dread.
The end of Nicole had begun.
The inevitable had entered, she has given up...
Angel did her job this evil drug of which no one is immune.
There is no silver lining, no cavalry, and no back-up.
Can she save herself? If so it must be soon.

The wheels are turning now,
Spinning faster out of control,
Sweat appears at the top of her brow.
Tears come to her eyes, fear for her soul.

Slow motion the world is in as she pulls the trigger,
The hammer flies forward to release the bullet.
Life to be ended by a twitchy finger.
I close my eyes I know my limits.

CLICK! Nothing happens; Nicole lets out a shuddering breath.
Sitting in front of her are the bullets she forgot to load.
So lucky she just cheated death.
This is a happy ending to what could have been a suicidal episode.

Tripe

Drivel. I did not score it because it doesn't fit the scale anywhere.
