Visions placed before my eyes:
Willowy trees; clouds in skies;
Hedges grow in shadow slow,
Bright sunlight on meadow low;

Ribbons flash on watery blue
Silver threads their glowing hue,
With streaking bugs sure to shoo
If, arm-in-arm, we’d walk on through;

Bird sound, singing, ears delight
Chirping, hidden, from one’s sight;
Tiny grey rabbits with tails off-white
Russle dry grass in their flight;

The declining day brings smells anew
In shadowed banks the smell of ‘dew
In shaded grain the smell is mellow –
Did you see, I see, a bird all yellow?
