winding hands
wound up
wound down
across your chest
down and down
reach to catch
your heart
to hold it close
with short breathe
and long hard thoughts
hungry for shelter
and everything else

i so remember the paths
I used to walk to your house
across the hills
down the valley
through the soft woods
and there at your door
I'd perch and play for hours
or hours it seemed
while you delicious
deliciously dreamed
