The coin is tossed, its heads or tales
The piper must be paid
The pitch is torn and empty now
The game it has been played

The stadium we built to house our love
It’s a mausoleum now
The sound of laughter and of joy
Still faintly echoes somehow

The gift I gave, it was my first
I could give it to only thee
You saw fit to hand it back
And now it dies with me

My body was marked with symbols of our love
The ink will never fade
But the pitch is torn and empty now
The game it has been played

Thanks

Thank you for your kind remarks, but as the whole series is a reminder of how I felt,I think you have seen the start and the middle and the end.

I'm not all that impressed with rhyme poems, but you did a good job on this one. I hope to read more from you and watch as you grow...try new things, you may surprise yourself :)
