The fiery ball begins to dip toward the horizon.
Hues of every sort brighten the darkening sky,
As the two sit silently watching.
She, wrapped in his arms,
Made whole by his love for her.

Not a sound is to be heard over the still lake,
But that of two hearts beating as one.
When the bright day has closed,
Heeding Lady Night's call,
She turns to him.

The kiss contains all the fire
Of the now sleeping sun.
