You see these hands?
They'll hold you up;
And keep you there
'Till you've had enough.
And with these hands,
I'll fight them all;
And keep you safe
Behind these walls.

But remember:

I'm just a man,
Once a boy,
Was the child...
And even Superman cries;
When he's all alone,
In the dark,
Late at night -
When no-one knows.

You see these hands?
I'll hold you tight;
Banish the fears
That come with night.
And with these hands,
I'll make us a home;
Keep us dry
Beneath its dome.

But remember:

I'm just a man,
Once a boy,
Was the child...
And even Superman cries;
When he's all alone,
In the dark,
Late at night -
When no-one knows.
