Light from every direction.
Swept away to the heavens.
Lifted and infused with avian
wings. I rattled in the blankest
of spaces. Spiral rolled in skies
and under stars while sitting still.
The force of us, I thought, brought
bigger men to their chins and blood
spattered porcelain. We donned our
finest and met again. This time I was
the one who asked for cool water to
drink. For someone to fan your sweat
from me.
