Sitting beside the water clear,
The rushing sound, a roar I hear.
The river full from melting snow,
Shiny rocks shine from below.
My thoughts gather before me,
Like the swirling foam I see.
My heart full of love pure,
Sees the Past, Present, Future.
My Past, full of pain and sorrow,
Many men hurt me to the marrow.
My Present, a brand new love,
Came to me, on the wings of a dove.
With loving eyes that shine for me,
Reflect his love for me I see.
My Future, seems brighter now,
I’ll make him happy, this I vow.
Never more to search, or cry,
We’ll love each other--
Till the day we die.
I’ll make this promise, To you, my Love,
You’ll always be my heart!-
Love,
Your Turtledove
