The smell of her perfume
lingers here in this room
her head, oh her beautiful head
has rested here on this bed
I bury my face, pressing
into these pillows, confessing
how I wish she'd notice me
a tiny glance is all I need
a sign, a look, I plead I plead!
she fills my thoughts
as water between rocks
and here, face pressed into
pillow, her scent does renew
my drive, my plans, my longing
or am I just the inevitable prolonging
because she belongs fairly
to him, an ogre for this fairy
this maiden fair of golden hair
sweet mistress is my only prayer
If only she could see
how perfect we would be
but she's lost in a world where
from I can hardly bear
to ask her to give it all away
to come with me to stay
and so tonight I press my face
into these pillows where her taste
her essence, her air
her dreams, her breasts, her hair
have rested in this very spot
right here below my lonely heart
