Be still, my love, hold this moment
on your tongue, like sugar
or adoration.

They come so few and far between
that each is worthy of being
cast in bronze.

Words will have to do.

We have just this and this is love,
in forms so rare as to be exotic
to a stranger's watching eye.

We are this moment,
curious and wonderful,
eternal and profound.
