Dreaming downwards
With flights of fancy
Surreal, the feel of silken teal hair
Rescue me from my own nightmares
Fishnets full of tears
I crawl home numbly from the shore
Dreaming of her dark lit lair
Full of her passions
Flowers scientists can never name
She's more then lily, lilac, or rose
I could fill dusty leather volumes full of prose
There's look in her eyes
A pooka horse, a coal black dove
Red petal lipstick sitting on a shelf
My angel, my devil, my other self
Holding her hand
So she dreams undisturbed

My hands are antsy
Must see this love, the one that binds me
Petals never fall, her flowers will remain
Lovely teal girl, my eyes full of pain
Pray you could beat it up and make it go away
Heaven and hell fight over earth but it's only just a game
I want to lay with her until its safe
A strangle hold from my loving queen
From her love I fear I will never wean
Time goes by, fashions change
My teal lover girl has only one name
A once-upon-a-lullaby from whence she came
She opens her mouth, and Oh the sound
A song for the darkness,
Like these flights of fancy
Can't fight this bondage
Don't wanna leave her love
Teal lover girl, this one I dream of
Holding onto chains of fate
My flights of fancy often leave me
Dreaming downwards
