Joey knew it was a bad day when waking he saw stars
Where needed to be sun was Venus, or maybe it was Mars
He knew he needed sleep he had to have more rest
For today was the day of his very hardest test
He felt his gut a tighten and he felt his biggest fear
Ah yes was just a normal day in this a terrible year
He longed for the times with days of good and bad
You need to worry less the future's yours to grab
Then he saw his problem while he lay, still in his lair
Tis not the test that worried him, twas a girl with long red hair
Focus, man just focus don't you worry about that tart
How dare you talk that way about the girl that has my heart
Just keep looking to the future if you fail you will despair
My impending doom means nothing if her love she will not share
And thus we see just how it goes with a lad of of just eighteen
He longs for love and nothing else and the future's yet unseen
