I waited. I've always waited.
wanting you and what was
now lost...over.
you left... let me go now.
you push, then cling
confusion... uncertainty.

maybe there was no 'us'.
illusions...delusions
healing denied, no answers
joining shattered
leaving a terrible hole
no closure

emptiness, anger, hurt
my fault? maybe
depending. ..needing
too much?
patience waning now
truth withheld

moving on is difficult
feeling lost and
trying to comprehend
grasping not
wanting to understand
unable to see

your ways are baffling
verbal games
riddled words and phrases
your shield
fearing truth, you run
I am mystified

my strength sustains
looking ahead
a new chapter unfolds
without you
friend and lover, it is
your loss
