I'm praying for a sure thing
but thankful it's not been granted.
Testing, testing, one two three
is there someone out there
worthy of me?
Give more than a lick
tongue possibility
careful in heart
of what the future may bring.
In a small touch I'm testing
if he'll lean toward me
and then, more importantly
if bonded lips burst free.
The loudspeaker brings cringing
at every one of his two three.
Will it be, "roomful of people
that girl's been with me?"
