A vision of beauty.
A vision of the night.
I was lost in your trance,
hidden from the light.
With a heart as dark
as a moonless night,
you preyed upon me
with pure delight.
In an deadly embrace
you held me tight,
and stole my heart
that fateful night

That Night

You have the rhymes of a fair, but simple little poem.

However, you tend to lose the rhythm as your meter changes.

Short works like this are much stronger

when both rhyme and meter are consistent.
