We lie awake at night
Wondering where we are
And then we see the light
We know we've come so far

But is this the end of the line

The water's rising higher
We're being swept away
It only feeds the fire
When we say the things we say
All we have left is each other
But we're still going under

You say to hold on tight
As you hold me close to you
There's no one left to fight
What do we have to do

Have we reached the end of the line

The water's rising higher
We're being swept away
It only feeds the fire
When we say the things we say
All we have left is each other
But we're still going under

The water's risen higher
We've been swept away
It'll only feed the fire
If we say the things we say
All we had left was each other
But we still went under
