she lies there
she spreads out
in submission

he watches her
he sees her open arms
in submission

she feels him
take her left wrist
the cold metal snaps shut

he takes her right wrist
he closes the cuffs
the cold metal snaps shut

she is bound
vulnerable
and he walks away

he has her
in control
and he walks away

she waits
five minutes or an hour
who can tell?

he waits
an endless ten minutes
he can tell

she sees him
returning
and knows she is his

he comes back
smiling
and knows she is his

he joins her on the bed
he holds her close
he releases her
and she wishes to be
nowhere else
