The Alchemists rig
The tightrope belts
Of Driveshafts driven
Past possibility,
Belts sparking, arching
The infinite, the
Laws of physics in the
End play out as rules
In a children’s game.

The Alchemist’s dream,
A mountain collapsing
In on itself,
Crumbling to innumerable
Gas giants, proto-sludge
Dripping everywhere.
