Electricity in the air,
Pushing me further than I would have imagined.
A darkening sense of inevitability
Pulls at my heart and my breath.

I'm not moving, yet I pant.

On elbows, she reads
Her blouse drooping, open to my gaze.
Forbidden treasures within
Bring my pulse to quaking.

How can I? How will I?

She's seen me looking.
Casting an eye down her blouse, she doesn't straighten.
Instead, the blouse droops lower
And her chin raises, daring me to see.

My lips dry, I lick them.
My ribs pounding, I breathe deeply
Taking my mind away to a quiet, dark place,
Stopping time as the storm advances.

"Get up."

I open my eyes and knees greet them
Bent on the floor in front of me.
Rising to my knees, her eyes meet mine --
No smile, no wink, no words.

The blouse hits the floor behind her.

"Now you." I hesitate.
"Take it off."
Hands fly down my front,
Pulling the t-shirt from my pants.

Its whispered shadow passes over my head
And softly plunges me into the abyss of her eyes,
Staring, gawking, examining my skin.

The wind fans my passion for the mirror before me.
Her difference, her sameness, her mysteries --
Warmth envelops my breasts
As her hug brings us heart-to-heart.
Lightening, then thunder in the distance.

"Kiss me."
