I love her,
no not her,
but that part of her which draws out
the best qualities in myself.

I like her smile, because it helps me to be caring.
I forget about myself when I see her smile,
at that moment all I care about is her happiness.
For once I only care about another and not myself.

I like her sharp wit and keen intellect,
because it helps me to see her as a person,
instead of seeing her as a possession.
I forget to want her, when we speak,
at that moment all I care about is ideas and thoughts.
Her ideas and Her thoughts.

I can not have her forever
but I can borrow part of her for a short while,
to prove to myself that I am more than what I believe
Me to be.
