I roam ‘hood, seek Hinkie, injured cat.
I call his name, can catch and bring to vet.
Go here and there again, try this and that
no sign of him, I start to stew and fret
I hear meow from wheel well – tit for tat
a kitten calls now we have our new pet.
This kitty comes out and follows me
So many happy Sammy years home free.

Go in and out, she'd jump thru window gap
I felt great sorrow when she had to go
Soon Sally came to eat and sit in lap
I carried her in, join our jolly flow
a scaredy cat she’d run and hide, no trap
I give out treats, apart for her bestow>
Lights out at night by me on bed she’d leap
I pet, she gurgle purrs before we sleep.

Wild Wolfie born here, never venture out
a happy cat he always has a purr
he pokes his nose in all subjects no doubt
right after shower water tub prefer
in action fresh new litter box he’ll scout
No other cat like him we both concur
More come to call and eat – no room in home
they stay a little, go away and roam

Technically excellent. I liked the imagery and you mananged to write something loving without lapsing into sentimentality. I really like it.
