The burning
The urge
It moves us to do things
To think things
Private thoughts
Secret…
The burning urges us to
Grind until we feel like we’re going to spontaneously combust
Feel skin against skin and want more
Taste
Touch
It moves us to moan
Scream
Yell
Hold our breath until the intensity passes us over
Makes us vibrate with pleasure untold
The burning
Keeps us on our toes
Out of our clothes
Rocking
On every surface
Sturdy enough to hold us
Makes us wake the neighbors
Though they burn with envy while they quickly dial for the police
A disturbance
Right in the sheets
The burning
The sheer fire of it
Coursing through our veins
Running all over us like a torrential rain
Urging us ever closer to the edge
To the point of no return
Only to start all over
And begin again
And again
Until there is nothing left
But sweet love and satisfaction
