BTW, I was alone
For as long as
Memory could reach
At that moment it was great
Seven or eight was so fine
The Café in Zion square
The best on earth
Warm but not harsh
Sympathetic wind
Almost blew me away when
She brought your image
Approaching,
I knew you can’t see
A mirage from coffee grinds
Even in Zion Square
When you came
We said ‘Hi’, you sat
For now, we were together
Inhaling the espresso steam
Some peace offering.

Reflected images

I loved the reflected images in this poem - the sympathetic wind - the inhaling of espresso steam together - her image - the suggestion of mirage. What a beautiful way to sketch two disparate people at peace together, even for a moment.

So much to say

about this. I am all for experimental form, however I feel the BTW is out of place without other similar net-abbreviations. Perhaps better reserved for a piece where more are possible. I like the rushed "caffeine-high" feel of this, the constant pace and flow to it. It could have benefited from some form of break or implied pause at some parts (the great last line could have more impact utilizing this). "I knew you can’t see", maybe ' couldn't see ', not sure, it seemed a little disjointed there to me. I liked this one a lot.
