I was to fly to Disney World
through the stars in my head
moonshine guiding the way
to laughter heard on the wind

I was to coast down Arnold
where the swans and bluegill swim
wiggling jarred thoughts out
to dive in the open

I was praying for rain
colored bows to appear
someone to slide content
into gusts of golden hair

I was to be the one
to shower sparks in sentiment
the dreamcatcher come alive
but the chance never did

I used

to live pretty close to Disney World as a kid and went there often. Your poem brought back fond memories of my youth. (when it was much cheaper)
