I know there is a child within me
I know she is trying to get out
I know the child within is scared
I wish she would let me help her
I know there are times that the child within peaks out of her hiding place
I wish there was a way I could help that child within
I wish that the child within had the right kind of love
I know that the child within is begging to be heard
I know that the child within likes tiny spaces
I wish the child within would come out and play
I wish the child within could tell me what she needs, they only way I can help the child within is with her help
I know that the child within is trying to protect herself
I know the child within needs my protection
I wish the child within would let me get to know her
I wish the child within would let me love her the right way
I wish the child within could get use to being heard
I wish the child within knew that it is o.k. to feel
I give the child within permission to feel all her feelings
I know that the child within needs to know she can grow
