you caught me when i fell apart.
you filled me when i was empty.
you patched me up when i was cut;
and grew me into a supple reed -
a creature for your taking.

you dressed me up in crimson cloth.
you covered my pale skin with inks.
you spooned delights into my mouth;
and fashioned me as your supplicant -
a creature of your making.
