Broken eyes cry as rough
Hands tear my clothes.
I am pushed into a green
Fire.
I hear: "We have a partner."
A faceless grin takes my heart;
Boneless hands hug me and we
Dance
Along a Blue Danube.
I've seen her; she has dreamt my
Life.
As we sway to tuneless melodies,
My calf is brushed by a
Soft
hand. A child. Our child.
Skin glowing green and cold; we
Push
It away. Annoyed. (afraid?)
We forget as we are joined
By faceless couples that
Have too many
Sexes.
We stand out; I have skin while
She has dead kisses.
We soon dance under dark
Birds
With red bloody candles in
Their eyes.
Their wings clap as we do
The hustle.
The crowd stops dancing.
We are pulled apart (abandoned)
And tied up.
Our child fondles a long
Knife;
The child slits my belly; she tries
To speak...
The child cuts out her
Tongue.
The child grows and dies, consumed by
Fire.
All that is left is a small
Hollow skeleton.
It looks happy.
We are freed. She looks at the child.
At me. She walks away.
The crowd dances, and I am
Alone.
I cry, ignite my heart. Like a candle, I am blown out.
