When it’s dark and cold I make it darker and colder.
I go beyond myself and where I am and what I feel.
And you’re there.
You take my hand and we’re on the dark side of the moon.
And everything is fine, facing the other way.
You hold my head in your lap and stroke my hair.
We point at the stars and call them silly names.
Laughter and light limn the most desolate of places.
I need you.
The orbit and the space and the riot,
They’re behind us and we can’t be seen.
Can’t be reached except by each other.
Laughter fills the empty spaces.
I find it hard to breathe.
I want to breathe again.
Show me the constellations.
Tell me everything is going to be okay.
I will believe you.
Feed me truth from your lips.
Feed me will from your heart.
Feed me love from your hands.
I am filled.
You hold me in your eyes and I’m whole.
Perfect in this ideal moment.
And then the Earth moves.
I’m back in gravity.
The air is thick with reality.
My mind grows cold and dark and my light fades.
Until your words whisper in my ear.
You will always be with me.
You belong to me.
Over the moon.
I’ll meet you there.
