Why has not Love, eyes for mine?
As I search the darkness, for that light to shine,
For in the distance, that radiance I see,
Alas, its glow is not meant for me.

When The Illumination highlights all the others,
From fathers and friends to daughters and brothers,
I look with envy upon their person,
But in the end, it is myself I am cursing.

In the Black I fall,
It seems it is my call.
I must make it my goal,
As it swallows me whole.
