I’ve waited such a long long time
To get a date with you
That other guy had all the luck
Till he found someone new

You’ve always known I’ve wanted you
And teased me to distraction
And now I must back pedal
If I want to get some action

And that’s the game we play
Letting girls know we lust
But in order to get lucky
We need to gain your trust

We have to let you know
That we really do respect you
And not drool all evening at your tits
And not tell jokes too blue

We have to play the gentleman
Taking you for a meal
Listening to every word you say
Not trying to cop a feel!

And afterwards a cocktail bar
And maybe a dance or three
And all the time look in your eyes
Our attention you must see

And when it’s time to see you home
Holding your hand in the cab
Not daring to even look at you
In case I make a grab

You invite me in for coffee
Which I graciously accept
I sit well away from you
I feel totally inept

You move a little closer
As the music fills the room
You touch my hand so fleetingly
I wonder, is it still too soon ?

At last I cant resist
And I move my face to yours
Our lips advance and touch
The hope inside me soars

Your lips linger upon mine
I feel your tongue explore
I place my hands upon your back
And the kiss goes on some more

At last you break away
My heart begins to pound
Have I offended you I fear
My mind spins round and round

Your hand takes mine and you stand
You lead me from the room
Into your bedroom painted pink
My heart beats boom boom boom

And afterwards we lie and talk
With me in your bed at last
You turn to me and say
I thought you’d NEVER make a pass !
