When God created Light, the first shadow was born.

And into this light we stare as we mourn.

In the moonless night I wander alone

The shadows of my heart break free to bring the dark angels above and below

The darker the shadow, the deeper the fear

When moonlight shines we are one with the souls of before

Night eyes watch me in despair

Shadows of the moon shine black like that of an empty heart

One with the earth and one with the stars

Shadow fire under the moon

Look upon the night and prey upon its weakest heart

Evil lurks where Heaven dies

The shadows of the earth are one with all lies

Moonlight lights the darkest sky

Where shadows live and demons lie

The stars roll across the dim light

Placing darkness in the light

The souls of those lost call out in the night

In their search for freedom the only find that they are not lost but gone before

The weaker the heart, the stronger the fear

As the fire light of the black candles flame grows on and on

Less hope than strength can be

The demon comes to me only at night

Breaking away only when the shadows give way to dawn's early light

One for the moon and one for the night

Love is gone but not lost forever

The tears on my face soak through to my pillow

I will die for you.
