How can I stay balanced
with the economy in the hole
tipping of the scales
with no social security
for when I get old

The cost of items
are on the rise
while my paycheck
continues to get
circumcised

The car needs new tires
and the water heater went out
I'm not the kind of man
to just sit around
and pout

The stack of bills get higher
my checkbook gets smaller
I watch my child
and remember,
it's not all about the dollar
