A symbol of peace

descended from heaven,

a fallen angel to earth,

dropping down down dropping

down from celestial light,

white as cloudpuff but then

primitive as a pteranodan,

clawed, beaked and beady eyed,

strut hunt peck peck hunt strut.

Down in dank dark dirt

victim worm digs holes,

loosens this rock, rising

through this frozen crust

like metaphysical maggots,

rise duende, duende rise,

rise blind tunnel diggers,

rise up from this enormous earth

to meet your anonymous fate.
